How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?

The Associate Network Engineer develops, maintains and supports EGPAF’s entire computing infrastructure located in the United States and Africa. They assist in the design, installation and support of WAN, LAN and Internet connectivity as well as work to define corporate hardware and software standards. The Associate Network Engineer works closely with the Network Engineer Manager to plan networking and departmental strategies, develop policies and procedures and coordinate the efforts of other IT team members.

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect in this role??

Technical Support

· Provides support on client VoIP phone services for DC & LA; liaises with staff and vendors when handling problems.**

· Provides support on Tier 2 level issues.

· Provides backup assistance to the Support Team when help is required on Tier 1 & 2 issues.

· Provides concierge service to ELT members.

Application Support

· Act as the primary SME for Okta and works with end users experiencing issues.

· Act as the primary SME for Microsoft Apps (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, Office 365, Excel, Word, etc.).

· Act as the primary SME for employee check-in systems.

· Assists the Support Team with management of our trouble ticketing system.

· Act as the primary SME for IT’s asset management systems, managing assets in conjunction with the DC Support Team and Africa offices.

Server/Network Support

· Work with network/security engineers to set up and support server systems.

· Sets up images for our laptops/servers and maintains server systems.

Departmental Support

· Actively leads US and Africa based IT procurement.

· Processes department invoices and routes them for IT department approval.

· Lead country 1 on 1 calls with Africa teams; coordinates the agenda, manages meetings, and provides notes and follow-ups.

· Coordinate quarterly Africa IT calls, develops the agenda, manages the meeting, and provides notes and follow-ups.

· Work with network/security engineers and the Custom Development and Business Systems divisions to create and maintain runbooks for all servers and applications.

· Supporting special on-site office and/or IT projects as they arise.

To be successful, you will have:

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or commensurate experience.

· 2-3 years of experience in LAN implementation and support experience, file/directory services administration, support experience with PC hardware, and software troubleshooting.

· Demonstrated proficiency in the following leadership competencies: team building, customer service, decisiveness.

Bonus points if you have: **

· Current relevant technical certifications (prefer MCSE, CompTIA A+)

· Microsoft suite of software for servers and clients

· Server architecture and policies

· LAN configuration and maintenance skills (VPNs, remote connectivity, etc.)

· IT system management utilities
